Text Box: All Purpose Cleaner:    Mix together 1 gallon hot water,  1/4 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup vinegar and 1 tablespoon of baking soda.  Bleach Alternative:  Use Borax.  Carpet Cleaner:    Use white vinegar on pet stains and non-oily stains.  Sprinkle with baking soda, wait 20 minutes and vacuum to remove odors.   Coffee Stains:     Soak stained pot with vinegar.  Wash stained coffee mugs with moist salt. Drain Cleaner:     Use plunger then add 1/2 cup baking soda + 1/2 cup vinegar mixed with 2 qts of boiling water.  Garbage Disposal Deodorizer:   Place lemons or baking soda in disposal. Furniture Polish:     Use linseed oil or almond oil.  Mildew Remover:     Wash with equal parts of vinegar and salt.  Oven Cleaner:    Wash with 2 tablespoons liquid soap  plus 2 teaspoons of borax mixed with warm water.  Pet Odor Remover:      Use cider vinegar.  Tub and Tile Cleaner:    Use 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup white vinegar mixed with warm water.  Toilet Bowl Cleaner: Brush with a paste of borax and lemon juice, or drop in 2 Alka Seltzer tablets, wait 20 minutes, then brush and flush.  (A can of soda will achieve same results.)

Text Box: Fleas In house, vacuum twice a week and dispose of vacuum bags.  On pets,  wash pet bedding.  Treat pet and bedding with flea soap or citrus oil product.  Ants (in house) Put chili powder, lemon juice, cayenne pepper      or charcoal at all entry points.   Mosquitoes Burn citronella candles or citronella oil as a repellent.   Mice Remove all sources of food.  Mix 1 part each flour and Plaster of Paris, add a pinch of  sugar and cocoa -sprinkle at entry points.**   Roaches Remove all sources of food and water.  Place pieces of hedge apples (Osage Oranges) around house or dishes with mix of oatmeal, flour and Plaster of Paris.** As a last resort place mix of boric acid and sugar in dishes.**   **As with all cleaning products, protect children and pets from these alternatives.

Text Box: Bleach Alternative Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 8 parts water.  Soak for 1/2 hour.   Ink Stain Removal Saturate the stain with alcohol based hair-spray, blot with rag or paper towel.  Repeat until stain is removed and launder as usual.  Oil Stain Removal Rub white chalk into stain before laundering.   Perspiration Spot Removal Use white vinegar plus water.   Rust Spot Removal Treat with lemon juice and salt.  Place in sunlight.
